Dither is a technique used in digital graphics to create the illusion of color or shading by arranging pixels of different colors close together. It’s often used to reduce color banding or simulate more colors than are actually available.

Dither is often seen in black-and-white images, especially in printing or early digital art, but it’s not limited to black and white.

• In black and white dithering, patterns of black and white dots simulate shades of gray.
• In color dithering, small dots of different colors are mixed to mimic other colors or gradients—like pointillism in painting.

The pack includes 7 dither patterns in JPG file format. All the dither texture images are seamless. You also get a PAT file which is a dither pattern Photoshop file.

If you need a Photoshop dither gradient, use the image included in this pack. Great for retro vintage backgrounds. Pixel art dithering patterns are also great for gaming art.
